Why were you living there? The inhabitants, from my memory, were refugees from China (I am guessing now) who were given some sort of guarantee of occupancy. However, when Junk Bay became the desired development, Rennies had to go, although many inhabitants hung out for better compensation although some refused to budge. I worked for the H.K. Govt. for many, many years, and was involved in clearance of squatter villages at one stage because of landslide threats. So, where did you fit in to this scene??
