It is indeed an SZ Coda Tronca (literally 'chopped tail').
Rarer than 'my' coda tonda (out of 210-ish SZs, only approx. 30 were Coda Tronca).Made from '61-'62, it was more stable (and slightly faster) than the round tail at speed (and was particularly suited to Daytona and Le Mans), and was a test bed for ideas used in the TZ of 1963. I believe Julian Majzub has just bought one, ostensibly to do the LMC next year.
