1985 Supra Rebuild

Hi, long time since I read this thread as well. Jesper, Willo's Supra wasn't a new shell for 1985; the original shell was repaired. I have photos of it being stripped to a bare shell, then paint stripped, repaired and reassembled. There was a bit of 'posturing' going on at the time I think; one publication says that the car was a brand new one developed by TRD and flown out here but that is certainly not the case either.

Also I see my old ex Ken Harrison Escort was mentioned again. It was definitely a Mk 2 Mexico 1600 in Group A guise in 1985; this homologation is listed in the logbook along with the 1600 Pinto capacity. In fact this car rarely ever raced as a 2L despite being a race car since 1979 in Australian Group C, Ken tried the 2L Pinto, 1600 Kent and 1600 Pinto engines in the car at various times searching for class wins depending on the race meeting.
