I am not an attorney, but I assume that the sponsorship agreement (and amount spent) is all about the calculation of potential damages for Whyte Bikes. So, yeah, I would assume that them terminating the sponsorship (regardless of who pulled the trigger) does not erase what happened before.
The entire story may get juicer in the very near future.
