2014 Bet 'Em IndyContest - round 5 Indianapolis 500 (qualifying)
Hi, folks! Welcome to the round 5 of the Bet 'Em IndyContest. The second week of the Month of May features Pole Day and Bump Day, or whatever they call it nowadays the qualifying sessions.
The Belt Challenge faces round 4 winner Hunter-Reay and 2013 Indianapolis 500 polesitter Carpenter.
Like the regular Top 10 bet, the Fast Nine bet only awards drivers from rows 2 and 3 (positions 4th-9th). Meanwhile, the Last Row bet awards drivers who qualify 31st-33rd on Sunday.
For qualifying, you must pick five different drivers and a manufacturer.
o- Polesitter ($ 1,000)
o- First Row ($ 300)
o- Fast Nine ($ 50)
o- Last Row ($ 10)
o- Belt Challenge ($ 100) - Hunter-Reay or Carpenter.
o- Manufacturer on pole ($ 100) - Chevrolet or Honda.
The stakes for the Indianapolis 500 are:
o- 3 to 1: Castroneves, Dixon, Pagenaud, Hunter-Reay.
o- 5 to 1: Power, Andretti, Kanaan.
o- 8 to 1: Wilson, Briscoe, Montoya, Carpenter.
o- 12 to 1: Muñoz, Newgarden, Sato, Serviá, Hildebrand, Villeneuve.
o- 25 to 1: Bourdais, Hinchcliffe, Kimball, Saavedra, Bell, Tagliani.
o- 40 to 1: Busch, Rahal, Hawksworth, Aleshin, Karam, Davison.
o- 80 to 1: Huertas, Plowman, Mann, Lazier.
o- Chevy: 3 to 1.
o- Honda: 3 to 1.
