Ricciardo most probably copped the same treatment so he walked. Verstappen is his favorite child and I can't see anyone avoiding the same treatment as second driver so the second seat at RBR will continue to be a poisened chalice if Marko doesn't change. DR had the advantage of being proven and sought after so he could afford to give them the middle finger.
