JoestForEver should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
It'll be bold for customer teams to step into a new car in such a rush. Different from another VAG attempt in GT racing, the R8 LMS, which is effectively a Gallardo Evo, the Continental is based on Phaeton Platform, which is a front wheel based luxurious car. Thus I'm not surprised at all the Bentley guys having problem with weight. What's more, they have to realign the engine to suit the weight distribution and modify it into a rear-wheel drive car. In a word, lot's of work required and it's great to finally see it on track.
In addition, if they stick with the 4.0L twin turbo engine, the BoP and reliability will be crucial. The other two turbo cars, the MP4-12C and GTR, the former is baffled with reliability even though it has the best straight line speed other than 911 GT3-R, and the latter is constantly lack of pace in the JRM hands. Hopefully, the M-sport guys can manage this.
