Well in theory, the RRC is the basis of the WRCar. It has a different rear wing, and a smaller restrictor. Part of the WRC regs require cars to be able to swap between a WRC and a RRC - so in theory, VW will have one.
Saying that, it's all a little confusing; we've had S2000 2.0L N/a engines, S2000 1.6T engined WRCars, 1.6T engined RRCars, and soon there will be the 1.6T R5 cars......
