Interesting article in this weeks Auto Action about Datsun’s involvement in Australian Motorsport from the 1960’s.
I always thought that the Datsun 1000 and 1600’s were raced by privateers.
The company didn’t mind spending big dollars to compete in rallying and circuit racing, to promote the Datsun brand.
Even going as far bring out a team from Japan along with the Datsun R380A to compete at Surfers Paradise 6 hour race.
Go the mighty Datsun!
