Chris Townsend should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Even a BDA would have been possible later on in period, say in SCCA by 1975-76. Admittedly I can't think of a Lola T240 that had one straight off, but given that people were putting them into Brabham BT38s and 40s there shouldn't be anything to prevent it...

BTW, Simon, concerning March 80A-16. When did Doug Shierson tell you it was an SCCA club car? I thought all his records were lost when he closed the business. Are there extant sales records for some cars? (Records that would, presumably, be a lot more use than the March sales records, which just show sold to Shierson...)
