Chris;
I own HU1 now and the history I have found, it was raced by the factory in F2 in Europe by the works driver. Carl Haas was not happy with their F5000 cars performance and took delivery of HU1 and decided to drop in a Chevy V-8 into HU1 along with some other modifications after development work and the first Lola 300 was raced successfully and started that series of F5000 cars that dominated the series. After the demise of F-5000 the car was later modified to race in IMSA Lite series with a body that resembled the Lola 600 Lemans IMSA car, which is it's current configuration. I am going to restore it for vintage racing, but have not decided which class yet. I am researching restoration cost now for the different classes the car was used in.
