Antonio Russo was due to drive for Gary Ayles' team in the Production Class in 2001. Phil Andrews was registered as one of GR Motorsport's entries that same year.
Autosport once mentioned the Proton team could run a 3rd car in 2002 but it was unlikely to appear for the season opener.
