Did you catch a glimpse of the Spitfire flying over at 1pm?
It was arranged for the East Midlands Aero park open day. Battle of Britain Memorial Flight apparently.
It flew in down the runway from the Donington Park side, turned and flew back then turned again over the track, back over the top of the Aero park and was gone.
I remember the days not so long ago when they did aerobatics for several minutes .... busier schedules these days I suppose. And possibly greater H&S restrictions together with fewer pilots qualified to put on a show?
