Certainly. Hard to say as there is not many of the exanples I gave going against the Cobras. One example is the Nolte/Funke Bizzarini which normally sets very quick times amongst Cobras and E Type.
The GTO 64 at Imola lapped the whole Pre 66 field apart from 1 car I think at Imola in a 90 minute race last year, although it was driven by Nicky Pastorelli.
You could argue now that the standard Cobra and E type are obsolete now given how good the Daytona Cobra is now as its got better aero than standard cobra and developed a lot aswell.
As always depends on whos driving.
