This has the potential to become a McLaren M8 series chassis history thread as I've just happened across a note in Autosport (29 Jun 1978 p51) with a picture of Rod Leach's newly-imported McLaren M8D in which Hulme had won the 1970 Can-Am series.
Jeremy - is that the car that Foulston later owned?
