Suggest you look for a small shop in GV called "The Last Wind (or maybe Wound) Up," totally devoted to wind up toys and thingies ... spectacular fun.
And a true Irish pub called "River Run" in TriBeCa, next to DeNiro's posh restaurant. You'll feel right at home, I'm sure just what you want!
