Hi Anthony, there are many common parts. The cars are basically built on the same floor pan but the only panel that is common is the bonnet. The doors are different, the front and rear guards are different, the roof and bootlid are different. The grill is the same, the headlights are different, etc.
I think you've got the B&H car history right, the #25 car that Denny Hulme died in was sold to Kevin Underwood a Kiwi who was living in the UK, but I believe has now returned to NZ. The Morris Diet Coke car is in NZ as well. The ex McLean car is in Sydney, I'm not sure of the whereabouts of the 4th car though.
The M3 shell numbering is correct and the first 35 cars had this no. stamped into the right strut tower, I forget where the remainder were stamped?
