This year we remember the passing of Robert " Bob " Jane
Bob won the last at Philip Island and the First at Bathurst.
Bob put racing on the map, as a young bloke, Calder Park was home during the
late seventies, and in the early 80's
I was a the second Nascar event at Thunder Dome.

hope Bob gets the same .introduced to Bathurst as the Armstrong 500 (500 miles long), the event was won by Harry Firth and Bob Jane in a Ford Cortina GT.
Hope they give Bob, and Harry the same recognition
