Jesper OH should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
[QUOTE=Tim Wilkinson;2611038]I don't think Toyota Japan cared too much about the UK efforts. On one of the review videos (it must be the '87 highlights I got from MotorsTV a couple of years back) Hodgetts is bemoaning the lack of power in his Corolla. IIRC he says that the Japanese cars have 20bhp more, but he can't use the camshafts that they do. That might be down to regulations, rather than supply, but maybe Toyota wouldn't homologate the parts required? O'Brien's Holden was down on power for the first part of '88 because of the homologation problems.

And weren't Bemani developing Supras in Europe, too? So 3 seperate efforts?

And then there were the Belgian RAS Sport Turbo cars. Running in Bastos colours for selected 1987 races, then FINA for the 1988 Spa 24 h and still for sale by 1989 in these colours ..and 700 bhp available!
By 1989 a Bloemer Motorsport Supra appeared for a few DTM races as well, making it four different approaches to the same basic car.

Thank you for the notes, Tim, very usefull in getting a broader picture of what was happening.
