BDA term is actually for the road Escort engine , any race engine was a BDD if Atlantic or BDE / F/G etc in F2 / sports cars.
Thanks for that clarification. Dad referred to his motor as BDA/BDD and that has always confused me a little. SCCA FB isn't the same of course so IDK what his 722 ran for sure (regional/national SCCA rules) but the 74B Atlantic car was described as above and the motor was significantly different.
