The Toyotas put in a fantastic challenge to the fast but fragile Peugots towards the end and the team play with Cyril Dupres supporting Sainz and Peterhansel proved invaluable in the win for Peugot. Incredibly arduous event particularly for the privateers, once again Lyndon Poskitt finished 2nd in the Malle Moto class to become the peoples champion.
