Agree with others about Leclerc's misdemeanours - although I think the penalties are pretty derisory, especially considering the way the debris from his car was exploding across the track - potentially very dangerous.


Baffled by Merc's strategy, really - Having left Lewis out longer, when he was losing chunks of time the competition who were on fresh tyres, they then call him in from 1st place with about 15 laps to go, when (according to the graphic) his tyres were OK and there was a good chance he could have gone to the end - Bottas and Vettel weren't significantly eating into his lead.



OK - it gave him an opportunity to go for fastest lap - which with him finishing 3rd gave the team the Constructor's championship - but had he stayed out and taken the win, with Bottas second they would still have won it. If the gamble turned out not to be paying off they still had an ample gap to pit him and take 1st and 3rd......... Seemed a daft decision just to secure an effectively already assured Championship......
