Agree with regards to the rate of attrition: was hoping to see more of the Retro field make it to the Super Final. Some good races though and great to have a bit of motorsport this late in the year again.

The blue Fiesta from the modified class was strong all day and really challenged the Belgian Escort in the final until a drive shaft broke although the driver didn't seem too disappointed after the race. The BMW was great entertainment throughout the day, how the car stands up to that amount of punishment is amazing.
As you say, great to have a bit of motorsport this late in the year. Sorry Bert I'm pretty sure I recognized you wandering round with camera in hand but my brain was elsewhere! It's my first visit to Lydden this year and I was impressed with the general appearance of the venue, it's certainly improved over the past few years.
