I have to say that seeing this for the first time, the format is very messy.
- The timing line isn't on front straight...weird
- Clock doesn't stop for Red flags .... How can you allow half the field to be effected by not just 1 but 2 red flags but allow the other half to qualify unhindered.
- Cars in pit boxes when clock starts, automatically placing last pit box of group at a disadvantage
- Dropping your fastest time for causing a Yellow...surely loss of track time and possible flat spotted tyres enough of a penalty
Also a question, how is it determined who is in each of the two groups?
The loss of fastest time for the block by Herta is about the only ruling that made sense.
Oh and those NBCSports graphics are horrid, they took up so much of the screen area it was hard to understand. Also that bottom right split time graphic was just plain confusing.
