I think teams deserve credit for trying to maximalise their chances by putting 1 driver on the alternative strategy, and not both (Leclerc but not Ericsson; Alonso but not Vandoorne; Gasly but not Hartley - even thoug full wets was a bit extreme).
There were teams that got it wrong for both (Renault, Haas, Williams).
The fact that even Red Bull got it wrong for their only remaining car seems to indicate it was not 'just a silly mistake'
