No, it's to prop-up the McLaren supercar business which requires lots of capital for R+D and the like.
McLaren buying experiences are reportedly
very poor, as are the resale values, as well as the reliability of the vehicles (even by Supercar standards) -- McLaren needs to address this if they want their vehicles to be seen as a true equal to a Ferrari vehicle:
