It's not shaming beautiful women. It's finding the entire situation weird. If this wasn't an F1 grid, and let's say, a random office where one company is trying to sell the other company staples and A4 paper, then we'd all think it was strange. But because it's F1 we pretend it's glamorous. It's not - it's bloody weird.

Having semi-clothed women draped across a car hood/bonnet, has been done for decades and just seems very dated, especially when the automotive industry is trying to present itself as clean and green.
