Not a great comparison.
You can't really offer a cheap run what yer bring type thing at a rallycross track.
And they do a lot of drifting etc there aswell. F1 teams used to test there, all sorts of things are done there.
Plus it is the only true drag racing track in the UK and they run events for all kinds of things like Jap cars, Ford, bikes, VW, that are long established, or used to run at places like Silverstone, most of them have found a better home at Santa Pod.
But it the core of drag racing, and that taps into road cars aswell as race, and bikes, hence why it runs stuff every weekend.
Something you could only do at Lydden if you ran track days, race meetings every weekend, and I doubt they can do that for noise reasons.
