If the new rules continue under Liberty and Ross Brawn (not a given) Red Bull needs their own "factory" engine, since Renault can give Red Bull an inferior spec or limit the available engine modes as Mercedes did to Williams.
Renault has their own works team now and RB burned that bridge.
Are current regulation F1 engines still allowed in LMP1-H? Audi could build a single engine for two championships.
