Twenty-one drivers attended the annual ‘away rounds’ of the Championship,
again held at Cadwell Park.
Andrew Smith (Morgan +8) continued his seemingly unbeatable form, securing the
best practice time, almost one second ahead of John Marshall (Ford Escort).
Smith progressed to relatively easy victories in both races, followed each time by Marshall
and Stan Bernard (Porsche 911).
New class records were set by Smith, Marshall and Nic Boyes (Mini Cooper).
Roy Smith (Capri Perana) made his first appearance of the season, finishing fifth and fourth
in races one and two respectively. Some competitors were less successful, particularly in race two,
which had only fourteen finishers.
