I only stood (and touched, rather gleefully!) next to an old 908 and the early Penske RS-Spyder (the one with huge lights). They didn't feel tiny. Perhaps because because of how low they were, especially the Porsche, they seemed imposingly long and wide.
If memory helps me, both 908 and rs spyder had same size 4650mm x 2000mm while oreca 07 is slightly longer and 1900mm wide...
they look quite tiny when you see a lmp2 next to a GTE car
