ydd should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
It is better to cover the wheels.

With the cover, you can then design, if you are allowed, ways to minimise the drag / lift with shapes.

I found is a short video I online which kind of shows what is going on.

Search for "FlowVision CFD Car with Rotating Wheels" on youTube - I'm too new around here so can't post links yet!

The static image at 30secs is worth a study, but remember how dynamic the airflow was from the video.
