Yeah he did himself in properly on the Safari one year I think (1999?).

It was sad as in 1998 he was widely tipped to be a future champion. As it turns out, he made a mistake going to Mitsubishi first of all (he never got to grips with the "Makinen" Lancer) and then he had some bad shunts. And it fizzled out rapidly from there really.
