Holden did plan to run a pair of factory cars in the 1989 ATCC, and two cars were entered for the Amaroo opener for Win Percy and Neil Crompton. Percy was in Australia in preperation for it... but his only outing ended up being in a NASCAR at the Moomba meeting at the Thunderdome (on the same weekend as the Symmons Plains ATCC race)

Crompton had also done alot of miles around Calder during the off-season in the #20 TWR Commodore from Bathurst 1988. Of course it all came to naught

Grice didn't back down either, after the jab he threw the orange juice he was drinking in Frank's face

It really was a ripper performance from Grice though that day, a 4th place, and leading for abit. He was also the only car not to pit for better tyres during the race, running the whole thing wets that twere pretty second hand on the dry-ish track at the end.
