You mean 'a reduction in the diameter of the opening in the restrictor', to be more precise? Presumably the external dimensions are unchanged.
When people say 'larger restrictor', my mind jumps to a physically larger contraption, with a smaller opening, passing less air through. But that's not what they mean. It's rather counter-intuitive, a 'larger restrictor' is a physically smaller object.
