Will be interesting to see how Lowndes settles in. I feel like Ingall did a pretty decent job, but Skaife was painful. It's not the bias or injokes, that sort of stuff I can tolerate (and will be the same with Lowndes), but IMO Skaife struggled to take himself out of the drivers seat. I thought there was too much "He's doing this wrong, this is what I would do" which was difficult to take seriously when the driver in question would then go and make a pass or do something correctly. I get that passion is important, but I feel he would get too invested in a particular moment or point of view and blow things out of proportion.
"What is wrong with these drivers letting people through without a fight, I'd never do that!"
"He shouldn't fight, he should do the smart thing and let him through without a fight, that's what I'd do!"
Yes Mark, you're one of the greatest racers of all time and can do no wrong, now can you please just talk about what's actually happening, not about what isn't happening?
