Superb race 1 at Ricard from Russell, in a race started on slicks as rain started to fall. Russell stayed out on slicks as some others slithered around and pitted for wets ..... after a few laps the rain stopped and the track gradually dried.
Championship leader Norris had a dreadful day spinning and stalling to dead last a lap down, Russell now 2nd in the title race 7 points behind Norris.
