Such a waste at 35. He did a brilliant job to end Rossi's reign in 06, just a shame the rest of his MotoGP career was akin to Jacques Villeneuve, in that he didn't win a race after winning the title, but it was good to see him winning again last season in WSBK, and there no doubt have been more, but for this. RIP
