Taking pity, the 4 main energy drink manufacturers threw some lazy cash behind the team, along with a few oil companies. General consensus is that the sponsors are all having an each way bet with the leader by Bathurst to win the honour of covering all 4 team cars in their stickers and claiming bragging rights over the rest for the remainder of the season.
Losing sponsors will be relegated to having their signs on the underside of the driving pedals for the final rounds! (may get some exposure in those tricky camera shots.....)
