I learnt to drive in part in my bros 1600gt, that was a lovely car and very quick. I also owned a 1600 GL from new in 1976, I sold it two years later for £250 more than I pad for it, probably the best car I owned as it was the first car I'd had with reclining seats.
I also had a couple of 3litre ones as well although I frightened the **** out of myself one night with my auto 3 litre when I got quite a bit sideways and as I floored it to get out of trouble my knee knocked the shift into neutral, I think someone was watching over me as the lamp-post came within a few inches of my driver's door.
