GT are trying to cater for all entrants and scenarios which is impossible for every round. sometimes you'll get a lucky break with the safety car, sometimes not. last year I benefitted with the safety car if all the pros started the race, other times I've had the safety car at the end of the race with pros behind me and I was hosed.
