I think mk1mart needs to know the Magnette is entirely unlike the "B" or even the "A" to which it was actually contemporary. The only real similarities are the engine, gearbox (although a different case) and the rear axle.
MGB stuff will not fit, although you can *make* the rear axle, engine and transmission fit.
The front suspension is compeltely different and the only car that can offer disc brakes is the late MGA "deluxe" or the twin-cam without massive modification... even then you need special adaptors for the calipers (a Mr. Green makes them).

I'd love to see a Magnette "lovingly" raced but you really should know what you are looking at first!
