Yeah, I've always countered to people claiming that the Corvette needs to be mid-engined that there's no point. Particularly not after how good the C7 is - even the base model handles on par with nearly every mid-engined car on the planet.
All going mid-engined does is take away the utilitarian side of the Corvette(what little there was) that helped it stand out from other two-seat sportscars.
