VLM were preparing Matt Neals M3 (which was the one Hoy won the title with for VLM) and moved onto the Bellm 318is as an independent entry once Lee was inside and Bellm running the team.
Steve then took over with Ray to run Matt otherwise he would have had no drive in 93
