The elephant in the room here is that this will push the economy into a recession. When the virus issue goes away, will sponsors still be willing and able to put money towards IndyCar racing? Will fans have the money to attend races? Even if they have the money, would they go to large public events? And will IndyCar's supply chain be able to provide the items (parts) necessary to support a shortened but event packed schedule?
