BMW returns to F1

Red Bull and BMW are apparently entering into a partnership for BMW to supply PUs under the next set of regulations.

BMW spokesperson Josef 'Apollo' Rik is reported as claiming that under BMW's i brand, they are planning to return as a PU supplier in F1, starting with a deal to supply Red Bull's next unit.

Dubbed the I-4 project, the PU is referred to as providing a new power 'generation lane' that BMW want to expand into, with hope that some of the technology will transfer to their road cars.

Is this a story that will make any BMW fan's week?
