I have looked at the regs Eamonn, and what jumps out at me is that the Crossle is the only specialist Sports-Racer on the list. At least the Caterham is a road car.
I am just teasing. You know i love the 9S. Just cant affird one.
As i have said, i have no wish to race in a mixed grid, but some do, and not all Caterhams are modern. Restrict to h patten boxes, pre Signa/ Duratec and original induction and you have cars the same technology as others on the grid, but as slippery as a brick.
It just seems odd that one particular car is excluded when it could comply with the regs to the same extent as others that are allowed.
