Great for the 'Family Look', 'brand cohesion' and all that b*llocks...
b*gger all use for fans in grandstands or hapless TV commentators, who'd just LOVE to know which multi-coloured flash just speared into the undergrowth / barriers / car in front of it but who are denied the opportunity because the 'individual signatures' of the cars are only detectable with a scanning electron microscope and then only when stationary in a well-lit pit garage...
