At Race Retro I noticed the top 1600 cars being sold for £9,000-ish; average FF2000 are worth £14k +; might be a way of increasing the value of you car, while you're restoring it it

as you state its a great car, so leave it how it was intended a 1600, plenty of hff2000 up for sale at the moment.
