Though I was brought up in a motorsport environment I can't claim any early motorsport attendances for myself.
However, I did the supersaloon support race at Silverstone on 19th July, 1975 when my wife was within a couple of days of her due date. We camped in a borrowed VW camper for the duration of the meeting. My daughter was duly born on the 28th July. My brother was also there and his wife had produced his daughter on the 14th July. I look back and feel a little selfish for the vast amount of time competing dominated all other aspects of my life!
Somewhere in TenTenths (probably the Geoff Wood Escort thread in M/S History) there is a picture of my car and said VW camper.
